Our Gourd Art Card Toppers are handmade. Card toppers are used as an embellishment when making handcrafted cards.

Each card topper gourd piece is individually handmade, cut from a gourd, wood burned and painted, then artist signed and dated with the year it was made.

No two are exactly alike. The gourd art card topper you purchase is unique, and will be a special embellishment for your handmade card.

Each gourd art topper has been painted with acrylic water based paint or dyed and stained with gourd ink, pigment powders or wood stain. The gourd art topper design has been woodburned (pyrographed) into the gourd. The finished gourd card topper is then sprayed with an acrylic sealer for protection.

Each gourd art card topper piece has a curved surface. Some pieces curved more than others depending on the curvature of the gourd used. Some gourd art topper pieces will have dark spots or creases that are part of the gourd's natural surface. Fragile gourd tendrils are also used in some of the gourd art piece designs.

When placing your gourd art card topper on your handmade card, it is recommended to place several foam adhesive pads under the curved area of the gourd piece to offer added support, as each gourd art piece will be raised up from the surface of your card.
